This feature documentary on the outlandish life and career of Josh Alan hits the film festival circuit in 2005. The film chronicles Josh's years covering the heyday of Times Square pornography, his career as writer-half of the Friedman Bros, New York's most feared cartooning team (with artist-brother Drew Friedman) and his life as a Texas blues guitarist. Returning to the Blacks And Jews theme (the title song of Josh's 1997 CD), the film's "second act" deals with his four years as the only white kid in an all-black, dirt-poor, segregated school on Long Island in the 60's--juxtaposed with a star-studded childhood as the son of novelist/screenwriter Bruce Jay Friedman.

Blacks And Jews is the first feature directed by Dallas actor Kevin Page--who currently appears in Friday Night Lights, played Billy Bob Thornton's sidekick in The Alamo and was a regular character player on Seinfeld. For promotional info, contact Page 3 Productions at: Page3co@swbell.net
